The new Alienware Pro Headset has graphene-coated drivers and lasts up to 75 hours

Alienware introduced its Pro mouse and keyboard at CES 2024 in January, and now the company is introducing a Pro headset as part of this series. Just like the mouse and keyboard, Alienware worked with over 100 esports competitors and streamers for their inputs before infusing it with its technical knowledge. After 18 months of testing, the result was that the headset has a battery life of up to 75 hours.

That’s an impressive stat, but it’s not the whole picture. If you use the headphones without active noise cancelling and connected via Bluetooth, it lasts up to 75 hours. Maximum battery life drops to 35 hours when using a 2.4GHz connection with ANC enabled. If you want to use the microphone, battery life is 35 hours with ANC off; it drops to 25 hours with it on.

Alienware’s ANC is effective at blocking out sounds, but if users want to be aware of their surroundings, they can turn on Transparency mode. In Transparency mode, users can also adjust how much they want to reduce background noise.

Alienware didn’t stop there, as the 50mm drivers are coated with graphene to reduce the distortion commonly found at higher frequencies. These drivers also work great with vertical and 360-degree audio. With clear audio, players can instantly figure out where enemies are when they make sounds.

The microphone is detachable and can be put away when not needed. It has two mics, and both are capable of AI-powered noise cancellation, ensuring only your voice reaches teammates.

Apart from enhancing the audio quality and mic capabilities, Alienware made sure it would offer a product that is comfortable and easy to use. Both memory foam earcups are easily replaceable, and there are physical control buttons for easy adjustments while gaming. In terms of connectivity, the Alienware Pro headset supports Bluetooth 5.3, wireless 2.4Ghz, and USB connections.

Fans of Alienware’s gear can buy the Pro headset this October for $230. Alienware did not provide any information about its launch date or its availability in specific regions other than North America.
