How to watch the latest Xbox Developer Direct showcase

Xbox is hosting its Developer Direct showcase today, and you’ll be able to watch it live on YouTube, Twitch, or in our handy embed below.

The stream will begin at 1pm ET / 10am PT and is expected to include updates from the developers of South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Doom: The Dark Ages. Xbox is also promising to “visit a surprising location to see a brand new game from another studio.” Windows Central reports that this mysterious unannounced game is “a new entry in a famous Japanese IP with a history spanning decades,” which certainly sounds interesting. At the very least, the rest of the games shown are set to launch in 2025.

Xbox spent most of 2024 adjusting its strategy for game releases, delaying some titles to this year, and bringing some formerly exclusive games to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

The company seems to prefer timed exclusives rather than reserving everything for Xbox and PC, so Developer Direct works a little differently this time around. Aside from letting developers sell their games, the real test of the show is whether it can get you excited about games that are coming to Xbox first, rather than games that just came to Xbox.

You can watch the Xbox Developer Direct showcase on YouTube, Twitch, or here in the embed above when it starts at 1pm ET / 10am PT.

The TikTok ban may have only lasted a few hours (at least for now), but Meta is still trying to take advantage of its rival’s uncertain future. Meta has launched a new “Breakthrough Bonus Program” that offers up to $5,000 to new creators for the company’s app.

According to Meta, the bonus program is open to U.S. adults who have an “existing presence on a third-party social app that you can link or have already linked during the application process.” Participants will also be required to create a professional account on Instagram and a page on Facebook.

If accepted, creators will be able to earn up to $5,000 over a 90-day period in exchange for sharing “at least 20 Reels on Facebook and 10 Reels on Instagram originally posted in each app during each 30-day bonus period” and “on at least 10 different days during each 30-day bonus period.” (Meta notes that creators’ individual payouts will be calculated based on an “evaluation of your social presence.”) Creators will also be able to participate in its “Facebook Content Monetization” program, which allows creators to earn money for text and photo posts in addition to video content.
